With staycations remaining at the booking forefront, Visit Jersey has launched its Curiously Brit…(ish) training webinar series which allows UK agents to brush up on their knowledge of this idyllic island, to encourage bookings for the shoulder season and beyond.

Jersey is a place that can’t be defined by a single experience; it’s not a city break, a country break, or a beach break. Jersey is all of these things and more. The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey’s landscape is defined by miles of golden-sand beaches, rugged cliffs and winding country lanes with French names – relics of the island’s Norman past. Only a 40 minute flight from London – with no passports required for UK visitors – Jersey pairs the ease and comfort of a staycation with the excitement of an exotic escape.

The new Visit Jersey webinar is centred around Jersey’s Curiously Brit…(ish) campaign, which encourages prospective visitors to think differently about Jersey and taps into their motivations for travel. The new training webinar provides valued trade partners with the tools to discover what makes Jersey a place that feels familiar to UK visitors, with a delightfully continental twist. The training sees the tourist board delve deep into key areas of interest, sharing details and selling tips for agents, with a primary focus of enabling trade partners to increase their knowledge of the destination.

The webinar showcases the unique spirit of Jersey and quintessential island experiences visitors can enjoy, from local Jersey customs and traditions to delicious seafood fresh from the coast, spectacular sunsets and more. Home to over 48 miles of dramatic coastlines, there is always a spot for travellers to stretch their legs in Jersey and embrace the invigorating sea air. From the island’s dramatic North Coast to crystal clear views of France in the east, Jersey is a place that’s both close to home and a world away.

The bitesize webinar series of short five-minute training sessions will be shared with all agents who have registered their details. The schedule includes:

  • 20th October Autumn/Winter in Jersey
  • 27th October Food & Drink
  • 3rd November Culture & Heritage
  • 10th November Nature
  • 17th November Active & wellbeing
  • 24th November Christmas in Jersey
  • 8th December What’s new for 2022/23 and events
