The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced two key appointments to the partnership’s commercial team.
Victoria Jones has been promoted to Senior Commercial Manager and Jo Turney has been appointed as Commercial Manager. John Sullivan, Head of Commercial, Advantage Travel Partnership, says that the appointments have been made to “ensure that the business can proactively support the current and future needs of members.”
He said:
“As a business we pride ourselves on our commercial offering to members, and the exceptionally strong supplier relationships. These appointments will ensure that Advantage’s commercial team can continue to deliver the high-quality service levels members as partners have come to expect of us, as well as provide opportunities for growth as travel businesses continue to recover from the pandemic.”
Victoria Jones has played an integral role in the partnership’s commercial team over the past 10 years. Commenting on her promotion, she said: “I’m truly delighted to be taking on this role to continue driving our partnerships forward and ensuring our members remain at the heart of everything we do.”
Jo Turney brings over 20 years of travel industry experience to her new Commercial Manager role having previously held positions with Thomas Cook, The Freedom Travel Group & Club Med. She said: “I’m excited to be joining the Advantage team and I’m looking forward to working closely with our commercial suppliers and developing an in-depth understanding of our members’ businesses to find the best opportunities to support them.”
Both Victoria Jones and Jo Turney will report to John Sullivan.
Senior Commercial Manager Kerri Thorpe will be taking a sabbatical to travel to Australia before returning to the business early next year.
Commenting on the new appointments, Sullivan continued: “Vicky is a loyal team member, who continues to demonstrate unwavering contribution and support to our members and partners. Vicky’s elevated role will provide her with a great platform for utilising her well-practised skills, plus learn new ones. Vicky’s promotion reflects the importance Advantage places on retaining talent.
“We’re also thrilled that Jo is joining our team, she is already a familiar face to many of our partners and has a great grasp of the role already. We’re looking forward to watching Jo flourish within the company.
“We look forward to welcoming back Kerri Thorpe to the Advantage team following her sabbatical. We hope she has a fantastic time abroad and that she will be able to bring her new experiences back to Advantage upon her return.
