Routescape, a tailor-made travel company based in Pembrokeshire, has announced the appointment of Rachel Coffey as its Chief Operating Officer.
Routescape was founded by Neil and Zoe Kedward and launched at the World Travel Market in London in November 2018. Since then the business has weathered the Covid crisis and grown into a thriving tailor-made travel company specialising in informed adventure and culinary travel across western Europe.
This is a new leadership role and comes following unprecedented growth in the business in 2023. Rachel will be leading the travel team from the company’s Cornstore head office, located quayside overlooking the historic Pembroke castle in beautiful South West Wales.
Rachel joins the business having established herself as a proven, values-driven leader with extensive experience in high demand sales, operations and business transformation across the travel sector. Her fascinating career path started as an Aerospace Engineer working for British Airways and Airbus, before quickly venturing into the travel industry as a data analyst and market researcher firstly with IATA and then Virgin Atlantic. Rachel went on to build a hugely successful career during her 13 years with Virgin, latterly as Head of Business Change. In more recent years, Rachel took on senior leadership roles at G Adventures and the Travel Corporation, before taking on a major change programme leadership role in the NHS to positively impact the quality of mental health provision across Sussex.
