Jet2holidays is taking 350 delegates and top performing agents to the 3HB Guarana in Portugal for its eighth annual VIP conference for independent travel agents today, with the theme ‘Who Dares Wins’ giving agents everything they need to face up to their fears and take on any challenges that they may face.
This year marks the eighth occasion that the UK’s leading tour operator to many destinations across the Mediterranean has hosted its annual VIP conference exclusively for independent travel agents.
The event draws on those eight years of conference experience, with a programme that has once again been specifically tailored for independent travel agents so that they can successfully grow their businesses.
This year the theme is based around the famous motto ‘Who Dares Wins’, with agents urged to have the courage and audacity to confront challenges in order to succeed. To bring this to life, former SAS soldier and star of SAS Who Dares Wins, Colin MacLachlan, will deliver a motivational talk about facing up to your fears and taking on challenges to make things happen. He will even take agents through a gruelling boot camp!
A packed agenda of presentations and Q&A sessions will also equip independent travel agents with all the knowledge and skills they need to look ahead with a positive mindset and translate this into sales as demand for holidays continues.
With a number of updates, launches and announcements planned, the conference will once again demonstrate Jet2holidays’ commitment to investing in its Partners 2 Success strategy.
Sessions on topics such as combatting the cost of living and sustainability will equip independent travel agents with the knowledge to tap into many of the topics that are at the forefront of customers’ minds. Agents will also learn more about Jet2holidays’ future vision from senior figures including CEO Steve Heapy, Head of Trade Alan Cross, and Head of Product Zoe Towers.
In response to demand, the annual VIP conference will once again feature the popular Jet2holidays Got Talent show, as well as the Jet2holidays Agent Awards – with top performing agents receiving accolades for outstanding performance over the past 12 months. This is in addition to supplier showcases and prize giveaways including holidays, business support and thousands of pounds of marketing spend.
For the first time, delegates will use a dedicated app on their phones to stay in touch with the conference programme and receive real-time updates, as opposed to using printed materials and paper-based conference programmes.
The 3HB Guarana, brand-new to Jet2holidays for Summer 22, will provide the perfect backdrop, enjoying a prime position just a short stroll away from both the beach and the centre of charming Olhos D’Agua. With modern rooms, a range of restaurants and bars, two swimming pools and a host of facilities, this 4-star plus hotel will act as the perfect base for the conference. Delegates will be flown to Faro in Portugal on chartered flights from Manchester and Newcastle Airports.
