Europcar Mobility Group UK Gears Up for the Return of Air Travel

Europcar Mobility Group UK has introduced 14 newly liveried shuttle buses at Heathrow Airport

Europcar Mobility Group UK has introduced 14 newly liveried shuttle buses at Heathrow Airport as part of its planned transformation of its courtesy bus fleet for 2022. The 6 Optare buses and 8 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibuses will help provide a seamless transition for travellers between airport terminals and the Europcar location based on the Northern Perimeter Road West, Hounslow.

As the largest Europcar location in the UK, the Heathrow Airport shuttle bus fleet serves hundreds of thousands of customers in a normal year. With UK and International travel anticipated to increase in 2022, the investment in the rebranding of the new buses, as well as other enhancements to customer services on and off the airport, mean Europcar is ready to meet the needs of travellers arriving at and departing from the UK’s busiest airport.

Working with MediaFleet, the buses were decommissioned and re-wrapped by the Europcar in-house installation team. Contra vision material has been used on the windows, this allows on board customers to see out of the windows unlike passers-by who are not able to see in.

“There is huge optimism for travel in 2022 following two years of COVID-19 travel restrictions”, said Ron Santiago, Managing Director, Europcar Mobility Group UK. “We therefore want to ensure business and leisure travellers experience a seamless transition travelling to and from the airport terminals to our rental hub.

“The liveried buses not only serve to create a smart brand image. They also help our customers identify them quickly as they come out of the arrivals terminals.”
