ANITA Says “Ball is Now firmly in the Court of the NI Executive” Following Autumn Budget

The Association of Northern Ireland Travel Agents (ANITA) has called on Gordon Lyons "to make sure any help that can be offered is back dated in line with the action taken in England"

The Association of Northern Ireland Travel Agents (ANITA) has called on Gordon Lyons “to make sure any help that can be offered is back dated in line with the action taken in England” and praised ABTA for “the part they played in making sure our sector was not forgotten about”.
Speaking following the release of the Autumn Budget, Damian Murphy of ANITA said: “The news in the Chancellors autumn statement is excellent news for those who will benefit from it in England but particularly for those involved in our industry.
“The ball is now firmly in the court of the NI Executive to roll out the same level of help here. Conor Murphy has previously stated this is something he would possibly look at.
“Of course it looks as this again will have to wait until we have an Executive that is actually sitting and making decisions on important matters like this. I would call on our Economy Minister to make sure any help that can be offered is back dated in line with the action taken in England.
“I would also like to applaud ABTA on the part they played in making sure our sector was not forgotten about with this help.”
