The prizes on offer include an overnight stay in one of five top hotels across the Province – the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa, the Malmaison Hotel, the George Best Hotel, Galgorm Resort & Spa and Lough Erne Resort & Spa.

And it couldn’t be easier to make your nomination! Just head on over to the COMPETITIONS section of the website and make your choice! You can also submit your nomination by post using the voting forms in the next (June) issue of Northern Ireland Travel News.

The 2019 Award launch was held in Bert’s Jazz Bar at the Merchant Hotel, Belfast. The launch was attended by decision makers and top executives from travel companies all over the UK and Ireland, an indication of how prestigious and popular the Awards has become over the past three decades.

Charlie Lawson – better known as Coronation Street’s volatile, big Jim McDonald – was announced as this year’s host for the awards, held in the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa.

This year the Awards will take place a week earlier on Friday, October 11, 2019.

There will also be a new name on the list of Category Sponsors – Palladium Hotel Group. The Palladium Hotel Group name is synonymous with hospitality, eye-catching beachfront destinations and exclusive options for travellers of all tastes. Twenty years after opening their first Fiesta Hotel in Ibiza, The Palladium Hotel Group is considered to be the seventh largest Spanish hotel chain in the world offering some 14,000 rooms, with 12,000 staff employed in 50 hotels over six countries.

Also, there will be one new award this year – for the Best River Cruise Line – recognising the growing popularity of the river cruise market. European river cruises now make up around 90 per cent of all river cruise bookings from the UK and Ireland.

The 2019 Awards, organised by Northern Ireland Travel News in Association with Blue Insurance, will be held in the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa on Friday, October 11, and the event, one of the top awards ceremonies in the UK and Ireland, is again expected to be a complete sell-out.
