‘Treasures of the Red Sea’ will Explore Egypt and Jordan as CroisiEurope Launch New Winter Cruise

One of Europe’s largest river cruise operators, CroisiEurope, has announced details of a brand new and exclusive Red Sea itinerary that will operate between November 2021 and March 2022 onboard the 197-guest La Belle de l’Adriatique. The eight-day cruise is round-trip from Hurghada and features calls in Aqaba for Wadi Rum and Petra, as well as Sharm El Sheikh. Highlights of the cruise include:

  • Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, one of the most astounding spots in Upper Egypt
  • The Wadi Rum desert and the Bedouins that call it home
  • Ras Muhammad National Park and its spectacular marine life and ecosystems
  • Multi-coloured, bustling souks in Hurghada
  • Petra, one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites, where ancient Eastern traditions blend with Hellenistic architecture

Cruise only prices start from £1,401 per person for departures on 20th and 27th November including a £212 discount per double cabin. Price includes the cruise with all meals and drinks, two excursions (a full-day in Luxor and the Valley of the Kings as well as the excursion to Ras Mohammad National Park), onboard entertainment, port fees and repatriation insurance.

Guests can extend their stay with a three-day pre-cruise programme in Cairo allowing them to discover the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure on the Giza plateau and including a visit to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East and home to the largest collection of Pharonic antiquities in the world. Prices for this three-day programme start from £855 per person for two-nights in a five-star hotel in Cairo with breakfast and dinner, all excursions and the flight from Cairo to Hurghada to join the cruise.

For Christmas and New Year, CroisiEurope is offering two special Red Sea itineraries of 11 and 12 days which will travel north of the Red Sea and through the Gulf of Suez. The itinerary, which is round trip from Hurghada with calls in Dendera, Suez, Sharm El Sheikh and Aqaba, features two unique complimentary excursions to Saint Anthony, the oldest Christian monastery in the world, and Dendera, one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. The 11-day cruise departs 18th December 2021 with prices from £1,815 per person while the 12-day cruise departs 28th December with prices from £1,918 per person. Children aged 16 and under benefit from a 30% discount on the cruise.

Since last season, CroisiEurope has been successfully working with Bureau Veritas for the “SAFEGUARD” certification of its ships. The Safeguard Certification Label ensures the proper application of preventive sanitary measures, which have been subject to a rigorous auditing process and confirm that crew members have been thoroughly trained to implement them. These measures will be further strengthened this year with guests needing to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR or rapid antigen test prior on embarkation.
