Sunny Balearic Island Sees Historic Snowfall

Mallorca has experienced a record 13 feet of snow over the weekend, the heaviest fall since 1985

Mallorca has experienced a record 13 feet of snow over the weekend, the heaviest fall since 1985.
The phenomenon comes after storm Juliette hit the island on Sunday (26th February), with some residents left without electricity.

On Tuesday (28th February) the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range on the island witnessed the 13 feet of snow, with Spain’s own meteorological agency AEMET deeming it an extraordinary event.

The snow has since moved from the island.
