Plan A Covid Restrictions Introduced in England

A statement surrounding the current travel restrictions into England is expected to come in the following days

From tomorrow (19 January), masks are no longer required in. schools across England as Prime Minister Boris Johnston announces the introduction of Plan A.

As Hospital emissions have stabilised and intensive care numbers have also fallen, England, along with Scotland, have made the decision to remove current Covid requirements.
Speaking in Parliament after PM questions today (19 January) ,Mr Johnston announced that working from home will now come to an end and mandatory COVID certification will no longer be required.

He also highlighted how the government hope to move towards a removal of the current self-isolation period, and how the government is looking towards a date as early as March to removed all covid-19 restrictions.

Plan B restrictions will expire on January 26.

Scotland have made a similar stance in terms of restrictions surrounding covid, however, the removal of masks was no included.

The Northern Ireland Executive have not made a change to current covid-19 restrictions here yet.
