There have been reports of travel disruptions from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, following a strike on Thursday 9th of June in which a quarter of flights were cancelled along with the closure of two runways.

Disruptions come as the European transport industry is facing difficulty meeting the high demand for travel following the covid-19 pandemic.

On Thursday 9th of June, numerous employees at the French capitals international airport, Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, organised a walk-out which resulted in delays for passengers along with cancellations for some customers.

According to reports, French unions are planning on holding a protest in Terminal 2 of the French airport, to demand an immediate pay raise of 300 euros.

An official statement from the French union stated, “despite traffic and profits coming back, our work isn’t being compensated enough. This is a question of social justice.”
