Magic Hotel Opens at Leading Italian Themed Resort

This week sees the inauguration of Gardaland Magic Hotel, third themed hotel of Gardaland Resort in North Eastern Italy adjacent to Lake Garda, for which 20 million Euro have been set aside

It’s an important investment for a hotel made of 128 wholly themed rooms, with the Group reaching an incredible grand total of 475 rooms overall – 257 of which completely themed and dedicated to seven worlds inspired by magic and adventure. Gardaland Resort once again emerges as the first and only Italian hub for themed hotels.

Three buildings – with an overall surface of 7,200 square metres – and a roof made of 34,000 tailor-made purple tiles characterise from afar the structure of the brand new Gardaland Magic Hotel. A gigantic Wizard Hat, an impressive 14 metres in height and weighing over 11 tons, is the symbol of this hotel, totally inspired by magic and where every detail has been carefully thought-out.

Once past the golden gate, Guests have to walk under the great Purple hat at the entrance of the Magic Hotel and enter an enchanted reception featuring bean trees, magic watches, gigantic keys and piles of books. A Magic Mirror, positioned in the middle of the hall, tells the Guests everything about the magic secrets and the memorable experiences they will enjoy at Gardaland Magic Hotel and inside the Park.

A total of 128 rooms divided in three different evocative settings: Enchanted Forest, Magic Ice Castle and Great Wizard, three surprising worlds of magic offering an unforgettable experience. All rooms are divided in two different areas: one with a double bed and one with two single beds, allowing the whole family to experience in maximum comfort an enchanted and marvellous stay.

Every detail has been carefully studied to make the experience as compelling and as realistic as possible: around one thousand ice stalactites, over 30 enormous shields and more than 60 large swords, hundreds of flying books and over 30 wizard hats, more than 40 gigantic three-dimensional trees and almost 90 coloured mushrooms, all specifically made and installed inside the rooms to create, with the aid of convenient paintings, a great scenic effect.

In the Foresta Incantata (Enchanted Forest) rooms Guests will be feeling like inhabitants of a magic forest; every detail of the room – from the giant tree overlooking the double bed to the three-dimensional climbing plants decorating the corners and colouring the walls, from the log-shaped bedside tables to the colourful giant mushrooms behind the single beds – is part of a fantastic woodland setting capable of involving the entire family.

The Cristallo Magico (Magic Ice Castle) rooms can instead offer the opportunity to spend the night immersed in a fantastic reign of ice, where everything is a reference to a magic winter: imposing stalactites and a great crown dominate the double bed while an enormous shield and two large swords overlook the children’s beds. The atmosphere is made even more magic by backdrops with magic skies boasting infinite pastel colours and by winged unicorns and flying dragons decorating the walls of the room.

Inside the Wizard House room, where the sloping ceiling and the suffused lights make you think you are in a mysterious attic, Guests will have the opportunity to sleep inside the fascinating House of the Wizard. The wall behind the double bed is decorated by the gigantic purple hat and by shelves loaded with ancient books while the night zone reserved to children will amaze with ancient flying books and particular lanterns eliciting sweet dreams in the minds of the younger ones, where they will turn intro apprentice wizards.

Morning access to the internal restaurant, where breakfast is served, is through a door resembling the log of a great tree. The restaurant is called Quercia Magica Coffee Bar (Magic Oak Coffee Bar), where everything looks like an enchanted forest: from the green flooring, resembling a fairy-tale wood clearing to the immense and swirling bean plants, the giant mushrooms and the wood of the counters. A live Kitchen spot and a rich buffet are available to Guests in preparation for an exciting day at the Park. Quercia Magica Coffee bar remains open all day long until 11 PM, for snacks and aperitifs.

“In the past few years – said Aldo Maria Vigevani, Gardaland CEO – Gardaland Resort has changed identity: it is no longer a Park to be visited for a single day, it is an out and out entertainment hub, a tourist destination for multiple-day stays. Thanks to the new Magic Hotel, Gardaland Resort can welcome as many as 1,500 people per night; our objective for 2019 is to reach an annual occupancy of 75,900 rooms reserved across the three structures and of becoming an even more relevant amusement-oriented tourist destination for families, both at national and European level ”.
Germany, Austria and Switzerland are still the leading markets of Gardaland Resort – with over 10,000 night stays in the Resort’s structures in 2018 – followed by Israel, but solid are also the Dutch and Belgian markets, while the English market is growing very fast – thanks to the eight weekly flights to Verona from the most important English cities, operated by Jet2holidays.
