NI girl Francesca McKee is the face behind Belfast’s newest girl group, however, the only thing all singing and dancing here is their upcoming events.

Belfast Girl Gang is an events-based social gathering, encouraging girls to get out there and do the things they want to, all whilst making new friends and seeing parts of Northern Ireland.

Launched back in May, Francesca is determined to give girls the opportunity to meet new people and connections in the Belfast area, a hub for student life, especially for those who have recently moved to the area and may not have anyone to turn to. The events will also give attendees the chance to take the plunge and do something different- From pizza parties, to open water swimming.

“I have just moved up to Belfast wanting to do so many different activities as there is so much to do in Belfast, although some of the things may not have been my friends cup of tea so didn’t bother doing it for so long.” Said Events Organiser Francesca McKee.

“I took the courage in messaging someone that I seen on my instagram to start roller skating with, as I seen she did it and went. No regrets as it was so much fun and I wish I just did it sooner!” She continued,

“Not everyone had the courage to message someone on instagram or just do something themselves so this is what the Belfast girl gang is for.

“To get girls together who want to do activities that they have always wanted to do but being able to have the courage to write into a group chat and ask if anyone for example wants to try out yoga or go swimming at Helen’s bay!

“I am organising a few events for girls to meet up in person to be able to make new friends and to be able to try out new things!”

Belfast Girl Gang will be hosting their launch night this Thursday (7th July), where those attending will be treated to pizza and drinks.

Located in The Marcus Ward, Belfast, Belfast Girl Gang described the first event as “pretty chill vibes” on their Instagram (belfast_girlgang) ahead of the opening event.

The event is ticketed, with tickets available from 7pm tonight (4 July) at www.eventbrite.com/e/378677042227

The event is open to all girls of all ages.

Francesca has also hinted at future events coming soon,

“There may be some Prosecco and painting and yoga on the beach happening!” she explained.

Future events and information can be found at Belfast_girlgang on Instagram.
