Leading Scottish Hotel Shortlisted for the Top Award

After hundreds of nominations, Glenapp Castle is shortlisted among other top independent hotels nominated for an award

Glenapp Castle, a 21-bedroom Relais & Chateaux Hotel and PoB Hotel, in Ayrshire, Scotland, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2023 Catey Awards for the fourth consecutive year.

Glenapp Castle has been shortlisted in the ‘Hotel of the Year – Independent’ category which is for “hotels that have shown excellence in their chosen market; offer an example to which others can aspire; present a healthy balance sheet and for hotels that are able to demonstrate particular achievements in the past year’’.

Jill Chalmers, Managing Director of Glenapp Castle, comments; ‘We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the 4th year running. This is an incredibly high and prestigious industry award, and the Glenapp Castle team are always striving to constantly improve our top quality offering – it is great to see this recognised once again.’

As one of the main drivers of luxury travel to the South-West of Scotland, Glenapp Castle is delighted to be shortlisted this year, particularly as the Cateys celebrates its 40th anniversary. In recent years, the Castle has seen the introduction of the iconic penthouse apartment Suite, The Endeavour, which has recently been recognised by Elite Traveler US as one of the Top 100 Suites in the World. The Castle’s infamous Hebridean Sea Safari also continues to be a great success, along with its portfolio of over 70 different activities and experiences.

After hundreds of nominations, Glenapp Castle is shortlisted among other top independent hotels including Yorebridge House and Aviator. The final winners will be announced on Tuesday 4th July, at a glittering ceremony in London.
