Air regulator the Civil Aviation Authority could be hit with its first strike action.
CAA workers voted to take industrial action over a pay dispute – the first time workers had ever been balloted on strike action.
Mike Clancy, general secretary of worker’s union Prospect, said: “More than a decade of real terms pay cuts have left our members at the CAA with no choice but to take industrial action.
“During the pandemic they did their part by taking a pay cut but this show of goodwill has not been returned.”
The CAA had offered a 5% pay rise.
