Finland’s oldest city, Turku, is home to renowned landmarks including; the beautiful Aura River, Turku Castle and Cathedral, the Archipelago and the world famous Moomin World theme park in Naantali.
New direct flights with Wizz Air from London Luton Airport – launching on July 2, 2019 – will provide both UK leisure and business travellers with easy access and increased availability to the city and surrounding areas. The route will be operated by Airbus 320-200 three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

During the summer visitors can explore the Aura River running through the heart of the city, with riverbanks full of people gathering to eat, drink and listen to music. Turku, with its enchanting old town feel, is fast becoming a culinary hub with plenty of varied and sophisticated food options, including top restaurants such as Kaskis, Smör and Mami. Another must visit for local cuisine is the Turku Market Hall, opened in 1896, it is second oldest market hall in Finland. The hall features restaurants, cafés, butchers, cheese shops, fishmongers and bakeries.
Finland’s southern coast boasts the world’s largest archipelago and the region around Turku has a 250km archipelago trail, a staggering 20,000 islands,12 bridges and nine ferries for adventurers to experience the incredible natural landscapes.
In the summer time visitors can drive around the route in a day or cycle and hike along the scenic trails, or even kayak while staying the night on the many different islands along the way.
Holidaymakers from the Province looking to explore Turku can fly to London Luton from Belfast with easyJet and then onward with Wizz Air to Turku.
