Etihad Airways has upgraded its innovative Verified to Fly service which will not offer a more streamlined and personalised service through its website, etihad.com.

Etihad have said this upgrade will make the process easier and quicker for Etihad guests to ensure all of the relevant covid-19 related documents is with them before leaving the airport.

In the 7 days before travel, guests will receive a personalised email informing them of the documents needed to visit the destination they’re travelling- the documents will be uploaded directly to ‘manage my booking up to 72 hours before departure.

This system will replace the previous email upload system with the new process guiding users through the process of uploading, along with showing the needed documents required to fly.

A confirmation email will be sent to travellers once the uploaded documents are verified and this means customers can travel carefree knowing they have completed the relevant travel forms.

John Wright, Vice President Airports and Network Operations, Etihad Airways, said: “Etihad’s hugely popular Verified to Fly service has been used by more than 110k guests already and has now been further improved and streamlined. The service has significantly reduced airport check-in times, and provided much-needed reassurance to our guests that they have already met all Covid-19 travel requirements before they reach the airport.”

Etihad requires 100% of its passengers to show a negative PCR test to protect the inflight environment, which is now recognised to be one of the best in the world. As a precautionary measure, guests travelling on Etihad Airways flights are required to wear a face mask throughout their journey.
