Beginning from April 13 through the end of May, Delta Airlines have blocked the availability of the middle seats on their aircraft in an attempt to maintain social distancing. The middle seats are blocked in Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+ and Delta Premium Select on all flights.
“Customers who want to practice responsible social distancing can explore options via the Fly Delta App or at Delta.com. Customers who prefer to be seated directly next to travel companions and family members or needing additional assistance should contact reservations,” Delta said.
Delta are also limiting the number of passengers allowed on each aircraft but are yet to confirm how many will be permitted to board; Medallion complimentary upgrades are also being suspended and will instead be allocated at the gate so that agents can allocate manually keeping social distancing enforced as well as usual weight-and-balance protocols.
