ABTA Releases Online Guide to Help Trade and Public

ABTA has released an online information guide to help manage the rapidly changing FCO advice

ABTA has created online information guides for the travel trade and public to help them manage the rapidly changing foreign office travel advice.

The guide splits out the rules that apply in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and sets out the mandatory Covid entry requirements, health checks, and quarantine rules for countries that are exempt from the Government’s global advisory against all but essential travel.

The guide also includes details of what booking information is required on arrival, transit rules regarding connecting flights and other rules around face coverings and borders with neighbouring countries.

In addition to the travel trade guide, ABTA has also created a customer information leaflet entitled “Get ready for travel: customer tips and information for going on holiday or travelling abroad” for the travelling public.

ABTA Head of Destinations Angela Hills said: “In these unique circumstances, it’s important that we continue to support our Members with the required resources to guide them and their customers through the changing travel experience.

“The varying rules, regulations and restrictions for overseas destinations can seem quite complicated, and we hope that these new tools will help our Members to answer questions from customers so they can book with confidence and look forward to their holidays.”
