Two of Europe’s largest travel companies, Thomas Cook and TUI Travel, have signed up to a three year partnership with international clean water charity Just a Drop at this year’s Institute of Travel and Tourism Conference.
Both groups have pledged to each donate £25,000 every year for three years to support Just a Drop’s sustainable water and sanitation projects worldwide.
Polluted water is the world’s biggest killer of children under five, with a child dying every 20 seconds as a result of water borne diseases.
The money donated by Thomas Cook and TUI Travel will be used to provide clean, accessible water to the communities that need it the most across the world.
