WANTED! Carnival Searches for Fun New Ambassadors

Carnival Cruise Line Searches for Fun New Ambassadors for 2020

Carnival Cruise Line UK is on the lookout once again for some very special travel agents from across the industry to become Carnival Fun Ambassadors for 2020.

As Carnival Fun Ambassadors, agents will give Carnival Cruise Line advice, ideas, inspiration and feedback on the travel agent programme in exchange for loads of benefits throughout the year, such as an all-expenses paid trip to Ibiza as well as double Loyalty Rocks points.

To be a Carnival Fun Ambassador, agents will need a good sense of fun, a passion for cruising and plenty of good ideas. In addition, they’ll also be required to join their fellow Fun Ambassadors at three board meetings over the course of the year.

Travel agents from across the UK are invited to apply, including all agents who worked for Thomas Cook. Ten lucky agents will be appointed as Carnival Fun Ambassadors for 2020 and they will each enjoy:

  • A place on a fam trip in May 2020
  • An invitation to the Carnival Rocks Ibiza trip in June 2019.
  • Double points on Loyalty Rocks Club for bookings made in 2020
  • Three Fun Meetings with travel and expenses included
  • Hosted at the 2020 CLIA Conference in April including travel, accommodation, dinner and drinks
  • Plus more to come!

Agents have until 31st October 2019 to apply. To be in with a chance, agents should visit www.carnivalfa.com and let Carnival Cruise Line know why it is fun being a travel agent and what they would bring to the role of a Carnival Cruise Line Fun Ambassador.

The 2019 Fun Ambassadors completed their fun year with an all expenses paid trip to Miami where they attended meetings at Carnival Cruise Line’s head office, enjoyed a night out in Miami and were treated to a three-night cruise on Carnival Victory where they experienced everything that Carnival Cruise Line has to offer including the incredible Chef’s Table.

Feedback on the Fun Ambassador role included:

Kerry Cansdale, Travel Counsellors: “Being a Fun Ambassador for the last year with Carnival Cruise Line has been fun! Personally I have learned loads about Carnival itself and its also been really good getting to know the UK team and working closely with them. It was a brave move by Carnival to take on travel agents and look to them for guidance and ideas. Many cruise lines say they listen to agents but I truly felt that Carnival wanted our ideas, listened and actually acted on them.”

Ava North, cruise.co.uk: “These last ten months being a Fun Ambassador have been such a great experience and one I won’t forget. From racing around London in Minis to partying in Ibiza, we have shared some amazing memories. We have been able to provide feedback to the team about how Loyalty Rocks operates and there have been some great improvements. I really enjoyed being part of the board meetings and feel honoured to be one of the first Fun Ambassadors. With Carnival this year I have really felt that they do value travel agents and they truly do believe that Travel Agents Rock.”

Andrew Cawley, Virgin Holidays: “I’ve really loved my time as a Fun Ambassador. Being involved with the Carnival Cruise Line management in helping to make selling and incentives even better for agents has been so insightful. There have been so many highlights but the Ibiza Rocks trip and, of course, the Carnival Victory and Carnival Cruise Line headquarters tour were the standouts for me. If you are thinking about applying for 2020 do it – you’ll love it!”

Feedback on the Carnival Victory fam trip included:

Aaron Fletcher, Travel Solutions: “This was my first experience onboard a Carnival ship and it showed me how the whole `choose fun` concept comes to life. It’s all about choosing what is fun for you. We watched proud parents take pictures of their kids during the Dr Seuss parade and we also watched young couples and groups of friends dancing the night away in the night club. Equally, if you just wanted to chill and read a book, there was plenty of places to do that. The standard of food, quality of entertainment and levels of service from the hard working staff were superb.”

Lauren Glenn, USAirtours: “This was my third Carnival Cruise Line experience and, like the others, this one didn’t disappoint. The three-night sailing was the perfect way to experience what Carnival has to offer. From the easy embarkation to attentive staff and all the fun to be had on board, this really is a cruise for everyone. There is plenty for the kids to enjoy and the Dr Seuss experience is a must for any family. If you are travelling without kids, don’t worry as there is so much to enjoy too, from adult-only areas, the nightclub to dance the night away and the must-see spa. The food choice and standard is one of the best at sea and the entertainment is second to none. I had the best time on Carnival Victory and would recommend this cruise to everyone. Always ‘Choose Fun and choose Carnival.”

Claire Titcombe, ex-Thomas Cook: “I loved every minute onboard Carnival Victory. The Chefs Table was extremely enjoyable and interesting and something I will be recommending to my clients as a must do onboard any Carnival ship. I would highly recommended Carnival Cruise Line to anyone looking to have a fun enjoyable cruise and make wonderful memories with their families.”
