Uniworld Boosts Sales Team with Key Appointments

The new appointments complement the existing team, all of which was in place pre-pandemic, and is headed up by Angela Sloan

In response to increased demand, and in order to strengthen its position as the leading UK trade sales team in river cruise, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has made a number of key appointments across the country.

The new appointments complement the existing team, all of which was in place pre-pandemic, and is headed up by Angela Sloan.

They bring a wealth of experience in the cruise and travel industry, as follows:

Edwina Coppock, Key Account Manager for the South, who joins Uniworld after eleven years as Head of Trade Sales at Titan Travel across its touring and river cruise product. Prior to Titan Travel, Edwina held roles at Hidden Croatia, Holiday Options, Kuoni and more, in a career that has spanned 30 years in the industry

Lucy Hone, formerly of Uniworld, Scenic and Fred, who returns from retirement as Sales Manager for the South

Margaret McCorriston, who joins as Sales Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, having previously held roles at Planet / Iglu, Minoan Group and Barrhead Travel.

The appointment of Margaret means that Uniworld now has a dedicated sales representative based in Scotland. She will be responsible for bolstering the key accounts there and in Northern Ireland, in response to an increase in luxury business from those markets.

Angela Sloan, Head of Sales, for Uniworld in the UK, said:

The new appointments are not replacing lost head count, they are building on the strong foundations we already have in place, and will enable us to grow our business and that of our partners by continuing to provide industry-leading customer service.

“Edwina, Lucy and Margaret already know and love the Uniworld brand, having worked with and travelled with us for many years. They bring highly relevant experience and extensive contacts in our space so they are a perfect fit and can hit the ground running. We forward to welcoming them to the team.”

Edwina, Lucy and Margaret join Dawn Quinn and Lee Evanson on Uniworld’s field sales team, reporting into Angela. They are supported by an expanded, dedicated marketing and reservations team of 12, split across London and Guernsey, who efficiently service the calls and tailor make assets and collateral for partners to use. The whole UK operation is overseen by Chris Townson, Managing Director for Uniworld Boutique River Cruises in the UK and Europe.

Lucy has recently re-joined Uniworld, while Margaret starts on 8 August and Edwina starts in October 2022.
