Travel Counsellors Set to Stage Inaugural NI Conference

Travel Counsellors set to stage inaugural Northern Ireland Conference

Taking place on Thursday 10 October 2019 at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast, the Northern Ireland Travel Counsellors conference coincides with the 2019 NI Travel Trade Awards.

In recognition of the ongoing growth and success the company has seen in Northern Ireland in the last 12 months, with the number of Travel Counsellor business owners now nearing 40, the company is set to stage its first dedicated Conference in the region.

The one-day event will bring together the company’s corporate and leisure travel business owners, as well as supplier partners including Emirates, Aer Lingus, G Adventures, Celebrity Cruises and Topflight and more

Travel Counsellors Global Sales Director, Jim Eastwood, comments: “We are delighted to host our first conference for Travel Counsellors in Northern Ireland. The region is continuing to be a key area for business growth, with individual Travel Counsellors enjoying the host of benefits, and flexibility offered, by running their own corporate and leisure travel businesses.

“This inaugural Northern Ireland Conference will see Travel Counsellors from across the region come together to share knowledge, experience and celebrate their successes, and with the support of the team from the company’s Manchester-based headquarters, form plans for ongoing individual business growth for 2020 and beyond.

“Creating the opportunity for our business owners to meet directly with a host of supplier partners to enhance the highly-personalised travel experiences they provide for their customers is invaluable.”

Conference highlights will include a supplier Pow Wow enabling the company’s Travel Counsellors to meet directly with supplier partners to hear more about their latest product development plans and the travel experiences available to Travel Counsellors customers.

Taking place at the Crowne Plaza, Belfast, the inaugural event will also celebrate Travel Counsellors 25th anniversary year, and marks nearly 20 years since the first Northern Ireland Travel Counsellor joined the business in 2001, Derry/Londonderry based Janine Hay.

As one of the company’s most successful ‘Gold’ Travel Counsellors, Janine is looking forward to taking advantage of the opportunity to get together with fellow Travel Counsellors and supplier partners at next month’s event.

Janine says: “As one of the first Travel Counsellors in Northern Ireland it’s been a real pleasure to witness first-hand the growth of the business in the region, as well as taking advantage of the tools and technology provided by Travel Counsellors support teams to grow my business from strength to strength.

“Change is inevitable over two decades in the travel industry, but running my own business with the support of Travel Counsellors has enabled me to stay ahead of the curve, stay focussed on my customers and enjoy flexibility around my family, all whilst creating life-long friendships with fellow Travel Counsellors in Ireland and beyond. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to get together with old friends and new next month.”

Travel Counsellors Northern Ireland Conference is being staged in co-operation with Cathy Burke, Director of International Business Development and General Manager of Travel Counsellors in the Republic of Ireland.

Supplier partners who wish to take part in the Conference can contact Cathy directly at cathy.burke@travelcounsellors.com.
