Travel Counsellors Gear up for Virtual Day of Inspiration

Travel Counsellor business owners and colleagues are getting set for a special event on Friday, March 12, which will see the company’s global community pull together to celebrate their achievements

Kicking off with a ‘keep-fit’ energiser session to start the day, Travel Counsellors ‘Inspire’ event, has been scheduled to help business owners stay motivated for the next few weeks and months, and to boost energy levels as the 12-month anniversary of the first of the UK’s lockdown periods approaches.

Staged from Travel Counsellors in-house ‘TCTV studio’, over 1000 business owners and support team colleagues are registered to tune in and hear from a host of expert speakers queued up to inspire and motivate viewers watching at home.

The virtual event will culminate in a special appearance from Travel Counsellors Annual Conference favourite, Vernon Kay, naming the places he can’t wait to jet off to when restrictions ease, as well as life in lockdown and how he’s coped with homeschooling.

Travel Counsellors Global Sales Director, Jim Eastwood, says, “Through our Inspire virtual event we’re recognising that it’s been a challenging period for so many in travel, but now is the time to pause and reset our thinking. There is no better time to see people pull together once more, celebrate the individual and collective achievements of a global community who have continued to look after their customers, no matter what, and have looked after for each other throughout this time too.”

Notable motivational speakers scheduled throughout the day also include serial-entrepreneur Vikas Shah MBE, who is set to reveal to Travel Counsellors business owners the secrets of his success, and Dr. Nerina Ramlakhan, aka, ‘The Sleep Doctor’, who will set the scene for the transformative power of sleep, and ‘rest periods’, on productivity levels in people’s personal and professional lives.

The day is also set to recognise Travel Counsellors and colleagues who have inspired the rest of the community during a turbulent time for the travel industry, from those who have stepped up to help fellow business owners, to volunteering in their local communities throughout the pandemic.

The company’s ‘TC Kids’ will also highlight throughout the day, featuring the children and families of Travel Counsellors and colleagues, as well as panels of people from across the company community, sharing their experiences from the last few months, and their hopes for the future.

Eastwood continues: “We see this as a vital opportunity to bring the global company community together to celebrate one another’s successes. Even as travel restrictions continue across the globe, the roadmap out of lockdown offers us a light at the end of a long tunnel. With staycations doubling the numbers booked in March so far compared to the whole of last year, there is already a lot to look forward to.

“Our Inspire event is a timely reminder that together, with the right people, and the right support behind you, the future is bright for experienced travel professionals who can inform and guide their customers through any requirements for travel over the next few months or more.

“More motivation for our trusted travel experts comes from the Group’s latest booking figures, which saw global sales last week reaching the level they were at the same time in a buoyant 2019.”
