Fifty tourism companies from around the island of Ireland took part in Tourism Ireland’s virtual ‘Meet Ireland 2022’ event last week.
‘Meet Ireland 2022’ was an online workshop, organised by Tourism Ireland to allow the tourism companies from Northern Ireland to connect with over 60 Italian travel professionals and journalists – via a series of one-to-one, pre-scheduled video appointments.
The aim was to showcase Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland to these influential travel professionals and journalists, as well as to highlight that we are open for business again and cannot wait to welcome back Italian visitors.
Marcella Ercolini, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Italy, said “Tourism Ireland was delighted that over 60 Italian travel professionals and journalists took the time to join us, and our partners from the island of Ireland, for our virtual ‘Meet Ireland 2022’ event. The participation of these travel trade representatives and journalists is a strong indication that interest in visiting the island of Ireland remains high here in Italy. The event provided a really valuable opportunity for our partners to showcase their product and connect with the influential Italian travel professionals. The aim was to highlight the many things to see and do, and all that is new and exciting, on a holiday on the island of Ireland in 2022.”
