The Travel Network Group has announced the launch of its latest initiative, aimed at educating consumers around the benefits of using a reputable travel business to book their holidays.
The Group, which represents over 1,200 independent travel businesses, has created a toolkit which enables its members to promote their business locally, helping them generate consumer awareness in local media.
Gary Lewis, CEO of The Travel Network Group, said:

“Following a long period of absent travelling it’s never been as important to support our members and help them talk about the incredible benefits that travel agents bring to the industry.

“With long airport queues and travel disruption, our industry is facing further uncertainty from a consumer perspective. With this initiative, we’re looking to help our members inspire confidence in bookings, no matter the travelling climate, as they will be there to support their customers throughout their booking journey.

Press assets for the initiative aim to place local travel businesses at the forefront of consumer minds, by providing them with key information on the benefits of using a reputable travel business in the current travelling climate, including tips on how to avoid falling victim to fraudulent holiday activity, like fake websites or ‘too-good-to-be-true’ offers received by email.

The Travel Network Group Members are also encouraged to utilise marketing assets (social media squares and banners, editable A4 offer cards and a video) created to give customers the reassurance that they are booking with a reputable travel business – the assets are available on the Group’s intranet, The Hub.
