Northern Ireland Travel News, is urging the industry to once again get behind the TTG organised Twitterstorm today (October 15), this time directed at chancellor Rishi Sunak.
After a fantastic response to the Twitterstorm last week, we want the sector to unite once again, to drive home the message that the industry needs urgent sector-specific support.
Sophie Griffiths, Editor of TTG, said: “We were bowled over by the support for last week’s Twitterstorm targeting transport secretary Grant Shapps and it was fantastic to see the industry uniting as #OneTravelIndustry.
“We are still yet to hear a response from Grant Shapps or chancellor Rishi Sunak to our #SaveTravel letter, which was now delivered more than a month ago. Enough is enough. The government needs to wake up and recognise that many businesses in the travel sector are now on the brink. The sector needs urgent support to #SaveTravel now.
“Last week #SaveTravel was trending nationwide – we want to continue amplifying the message that the travel industry needs urgent support. There are thousands of viable travel businesses that need help, and TTG is determined to not let the government forget this!”
