Agents looking to earn big with river and ocean cruising should head on over to the Scenic Group’s training portals from this week for the start of a new series of training webinars.

Beginning on 25 November, the regular weekly sessions will focus on the best of Scenic and Emerald Cruises’ product as part of a new push by the luxury operators to drive trade engagement in the peak selling period.

Scenic and Emerald Cruises director of trade sales Andrea Stafford explained: “We’ve made no secret of the fact that Scenic sees huge potential in the travel trade, and we’re keen to spread our message far and wide.

“Every week more and more agents are selling Scenic and Emerald Cruises products for the first time and there is a real thirst for knowledge in the sector. Our new webinar series will serve as a great introduction to our brands, offerings and itineraries, as well as providing the essential information retailers need to secure lucrative bookings going forward.”

As a taster, Scenic Group has already uploaded a pre-recorded webinar covering its river cruise product for both brands on the Mekong. Live 30-minute webinar sessions kick off on 25 November at 9.30am when sales manager Jonathan Davies looks at the Rhine, Main and Danube for Scenic and Emerald Cruises, ideal for those agents new to river cruising.

Going forward, future webinars will be:

  • 2 December – Scenic and Emerald Cruises New to Luxury Yachts (9.30am), hosted by sales managers William Young  and Louise Tansey
  • 9 December – Emerald Azzurra Caribbean programme (09.30am) , hosted by trade support  Executive  Ryan Readman
  • 16 December – Wave campaign overview (time to be announced), hosted by new Scenic Group managing director Richard Twynam
  • 21 December  – Top 5 Highlights on Christmas Markets cruises (09.30) – Festive fun with Andrea Stafford  from her own her Christmas Market Cruise

Afterwards, each webinar will be uploaded onto the agent training portals so they can be watched at any time.

In a separate initiative, Scenic Group is also running a series of Agents that Lunch events for valued trade partners in towns and cities across the UK during December.

They will be part training and part ‘thank-you’ to partners, with sessions concentrating on Scenic and Emerald Cruises’ ultra-luxury yacht products Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Azzurra, with particular focus on their itineraries in the Caribbean.

Meals out will take place in Guildford, Surrey and Manchester (6 Dec); Sutton Coldfield and Edinburgh (7 Dec); Brentwood, Essex (13 Dec); Solihull (14 Dec); and Cardiff (15 Dec).
