The BIG Travel Trade Event 2020 – RESCHEDULED

Statement from the NITN Events Team

It is with great regret that The Big Event scheduled for the 1st and 2nd September has had to be postponed.

The decision has been taken due to the restrictions still in place but also due to the increase of incidents across the UK and Ireland.

Jonathan Adair from the organisers said “I am sorry for all the hard work and support of our team but also the industry who were looking forward to the event. We had put everything in place regarding government Health and safety protocols, but we felt there was more we had to think about.

We always stated that if it didn’t feel right we would not do it, and after the rise in cases we felt we couldn’t take any decisions that could put anyone in danger.

The Big Events importance has never been greater and for this reason the Forum and lobbying subjects that were due to take place need to happen as soon as is possible.

The support we have received over the last few months has been incredible under very difficult circumstances.

We have a duty to provide this platform to bring our industry together, and for that reason we are planning the alternative schedule for a new date for this year’s Big Event.

We have already had some conversations with suppliers and the new dates for your diary are : 17th, 18th & 19th November 2020. 

Health and safety is our main focus and though the Big Event is being rescheduled, we will continue to support our industry colleagues over the coming months in whatever way they need us.
