This year the Northern Ireland Travel Industry Award went to Stena Line’s Paul Grant.
Paul has worked for his company since leaving college. Working through university he has taken up many roles both onboard and ashore.
Rising to the position of Trade Director, he has been a constant presence at the helm during the unprecedented period of success over the last 28 years. Investment and expansion have been constant themes. From 3 ships and 1 route back in 1995 to 7 ships and 3 routes today, the company has grown dramatically, now providing up to 22 daily sailings between Belfast and Britain.
Paul Grant, winner of the Northern Ireland Travel Industry Award 2023, highlighted, “I would like to thank the judges for this prestigious award, it’s very much appreciated and valued. Whilst I appreciated this is an individual award, I would just like to pay tribute to my colleagues in Stena Line who have supported, encouraged and inspired me over the years. Stena Line is a great company to work for and I am proud of the achievements we have made as a team in Northern Ireland over the last 30 years. Thank you once again for this accolade, I really am very humbled to receive it.”
