Princess Cruises’ Sales Director Pays Tribute to Trade

Princess Cruises’ Sales Director UK & Europe, Rachel Poultney, has thanked the Travel Trade for its positive response to the line’s recently-announced travel agent ‘promise’

The promise reinforces Princess’ commitment to the Trade and comprises three official pledges from its sales, guest services and contact centre teams:

·  be easy to do business with
·  reward its partners
·  provide agents with brand knowledge

The promise is being used in Princess’ agent collateral and as part of its training, and will be reinforced during meetings, ship visits and on social media.

Rachel Poultney said: “We’ve been blown away by the response we’ve received from the Trade to the promise. I’d like to thank each and every agent who has taken the time to contact members of my team and I with feedback. The trade has always taken centre stage with Princess Cruises so to see the levels of support and recognition we’ve received is particularly gratifying.

“A two-way relationship with agents forms the cornerstone of our business and the promise underpins this approach. Now agents can clearly see for themselves what makes us tick and we look forward to our relationship with the trade further going from strength to strength.”

Jonathon Woodall, Hays Travel group head of commercial and cruise, said: “We love working alongside Princess Cruises, they are extremely easy to do business with; it feels like we are all part of the Princess Cruises team. We respect the support provided and value their promise to our agents. It’s nice to receive the reward for all of our hard work!”

The promise complements ‘The Princess Difference’, launched in April, which is a new brand guide that helps agents explain what makes Princess Cruises stand apart from the competition. The Princess Difference is being referenced throughout the line’s agent training and highlights what is most important about the Princess Cruises experience.
