Northern Ireland Travel News joined more than 300 Jet2holidays’ independent travel agency partners and delegates in Calpe on the Costa Blanca at Jet2holiday’s VIP Conference.
Singer Peter Andre accompanied top performing agents on the fifth annual VIP Conference at the AR Diamante Beach & Spa in Calpe, Costa Blanca.
This year’s conference – themed ‘La Gran Reunion’ (The Big Reunion) – was attended by more than 300 independent travel agency partners and delegates, with senior figures from the UK’s second largest tour operator showcasing how Jet2holidays planned to further strengthen its partnership approach to working with agents – including the launch of its new brand Vibe, which has been designed to focus on ‘mindset’ rather than age or demographic.
Vibe’s launch will be supported by an integrated brand campaign, a 76-page brochure and a dedicated educational programme for agents.
The new brand will focus on mindset rather than age or demographic, and has been inspired by a new generation of holidaymakers wanting more than a “typical 18-30” holiday.
Although essentially tailored for millennial holidaymakers, it will also seek to engage first-time holidaymakers, “bucket listers”, and the over-25 “experience-driven” holiday market.
Jet2 has grouped a selection of two – to five-star hotels across nearly 50 resorts into four “vibes”: Iconic; Party; Pure; and Chilled.
They each have their own distinct identity to make it easier for customers and agents to find the right trip.
Delegates at the Conference learned all about Jet2holidays’ future vision from senior figures including CEO Steve Heapy, and took part in sessions with representatives from right across the Jet2holidays business, giving them insight into the stability and strength of the company, as well as all the opportunities that are available to them through working in partnership with the package holiday specialist.
There was also presentations, supplier showcases, a gala dinner, quiz, and a high-profile awards ceremony recognising the best-selling and most successful agents of the past 12 months.
For the third and final year, the popular Jet2holidays’ Got Talent competition gave agents the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage, this time at the prestigious Benidorm Palace.
After a string of popular VIP guest appearances at previous conferences, this year’s star attraction was none other than singer Peter Andre. As well as entertaining agents with a selection of his smash hits, he also took part in an on-stage Q&A with Alan Cross.

The modern and stylish AR Diamante Beach & Spa is a luxurious hotel in Calpe, which is situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca. The hotel is perfect for couples and families, with three swimming pools, a spa, piano bar, and three restaurants.
Delegates were flown to Alicante Airport on chartered flights from Birmingham and Newcastle Airport, using the company’s brand new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
