NI TRAVEL TRADE RAISE £4000 FOR CHARITY

Donations at the 30th Anniversary NI Travel & Tourism Awards in Association with Blue Insurance go to SANDS NI

NI Travel News are delighted to announce that £4,000.00 was raised on the evening of Friday 14th October at the 30th Anniversary NI Travel & Tourism Awards in association with Blue Insurance.

Guests attending dug deep for this years supported charity, Sands NI. This amazing charity is a volunteer-led Group that works to support the charity’s vision aims in NI. For more than 40 years, Sands has supported anyone affected by  baby loss. Last year, the charity supported over 2 million people and is the leading UK baby charity. The charity exists to provide Accredited bereavement support both nationally and locally, Support, train and work with the NHS and heath professional and Campaign for change and invest into research to save more babies’ lives.

A MASSIVE thank you to our amazing suppliers that donated prizes for the evening and huge congratulations to our winners.

Steven Guy from Sands NI visited the Travel News Team on Monday 24th October where the money was presented. Steven discussed the AMAZING work the charity does and how the money raised goes to helping so many people affected.

Steven said, “Sands Northern Ireland are delighted to have been chosen as the charity to benefit from this year’s Northern Ireland Travel & Tourism Awards. NI Travel News have decided to use the fantastic amount of £4,000 to help us kick start the fundraising campaign for the bereavement suite project at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen, details of which will be announced very soon . Thank you to everyone involved in raising such a wonderful amount.”

Jonathan Adair from NI Travel News said, “We where absolutely delighted with the response from the trade at this years awards, the donations from the evening will go to a new fundraising campaign the charity is launching which will help the charity support those in need. On a personals note, I would like to thank all our suppliers who provided prizes and everyone who contributed on the evening.
