First ever job: Trainee Travel Consultant at Selective Travel. Starting salary was a whopping £1750 per year
Best holiday: Orlando, we went there on our honeymoon over 30 years ago. There was always something new to do and see, so we just kept going back year after year.
Favourite city hotspot: Paris. I had been there as a child, and returned in 2018. There are just so many famous iconic sights to see and the atmosphere is just magnifique.
City Break OR Sunshine: I like a bit of both. Architecture, scenery, culture and good food. Lake Garda in Italy ticks most of those boxes.
Window or aisle airplane seat: Window seat, I love to look down and guess where we are. I once switched a Sat Nav on mid flight and watched it struggle with off road at 500 mph
Favourite airport: Oh I do like Singapore airport. To be able to take a swim or take a shower between long haul flights, it has so many modern facilities in this main Far east hub.
Dream / Ideal travel buddy: My fellow travel agents are great buddys to be with, They know how to party and pack so much in. They know who they are!! xx
Somewhere you want to go that you haven’t been to: South Africa. I do like fly drives, so Capetown, the Garden route, Winelands, Table Mountain, and the big five are definitely on my bucket list.
Favourite holiday drink: A wee cuppa tea. I come from a family of non drinkers, but I can be persuaded to have a Vodka and coke
Favourite holiday food: I do like Italian, although Im not very adventurous. You cant beat an authentic Italian Pizza, with Ham and Pineapple on a thin base.
1 x travel tip: Book as many trips as you can, make lots of memories, we never know what is round the corner.
Proudest moment in travel: The Big Build 2014, when I was on the team of 15 NI travel agents who helped build a home in Romania as part of the Habitat for Humanity program.
