The awards are voted for solely by the public and the announcement was made at a glittering Gala Awards ceremony held in London, with over 800 people from the travel industry watching Mahlatini strike gold again.
Mahlatini Luxury Travel was founded in East Belfast over 15 years ago and creates specialist, ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ trips to Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. In line with impressive year-on-year growth, Mahlatini’s client base now extends across North America, Australasia as well as throughout the UK and Europe.
Director of Mahlatini, Chris Goldring said: “We are thrilled to retain our title for a third successive year, especially given the scale of the competition in our category this year. For a small Northern Irish business to be recognised ahead of the multi-national giants of our industry including Kuoni, Virgin Holidays and Saga is fantastic. We have a great team who dedicate themselves to providing an unparalleled customer service and creating unique travel experiences that guarantee lifelong memories. The fact that so many of our clients voted for us makes this award extra special.”
British Travel Awards’ chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “Mahlatini is to be congratulated on winning Best Safari, Wildlife & Nature Holiday Company. The British Travel Awards is the only travel industry accolade voted for exclusively by the consumer…to win is a true achievement.”x
