Less Than Two Weeks Left to Vote!

There's just under two weeks left to get your customers to vote in the categories for this year's Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards, in association with Blue Insurance

Are you a Tourist Attraction, Travel Agent, Multiple Agency Branch, Tourist Board or Travel Consultant? Let your customers know that this is their final chance to cast their vote and be in with the chance to win one of five great short break hotel/accommodation prizes!

The prizes on offer include an overnight stay in one of five top hotels across the Province – the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa, Lough Erne resort, the George Best Hotel, the Galgorm Resort & Spa and the Malmaison Hotel, Belfast.

As soon as the public voting closes on September 2, all votes cast are counted by an independent panel. The top five in each category are then sent to an impartial mystery shopping service who will then contact each of the top five voted for companies in each category by phone, online and by person in store – this is a vitally important part of the rigorous judging process! All results are sent back to the independent panel and are a tightly guarded secret, only revealed on stage at the Awards ceremony.

And it couldn’t be easier to make a nomination! Voting is open on the COMPETITIONS section of the website and and nominations can also be sent in by post using the voting forms in the print edition of Northern Ireland Travel News. If you have run out of hard-copy voting forms you can download them via this LINK.

The 2019 Award’s launch was held in Bert’s Jazz Bar, Belfast. The launch was attended by decision makers and top executives from travel companies all over the UK and Ireland, an indication of how prestigious and popular the Awards has become over the past three decades.

Charlie Lawson – better known as Coronation Street’s volatile, big Jim McDonald – will be compering this year’s Awards ceremony.

The 2019 Awards, organised by Northern Ireland Travel News in Association with Blue Insurance, will be held in the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa on Friday, October 11, and the event, one of the top awards ceremonies in the UK and Ireland, is again expected to be a complete sell-out.
