Kuoni to Switch to New Reservations System

Kuoni will switch to a new reservation system later this year as part of its 'digital transformation'

Parent DER Touristik UK has signed a deal with travel technology company CodeGen to adopt its TravelBox system.

TravelBox is already used by its new brand, Meraki Travel, which launched last year.

The TravelBox platform allows travel companies to create bespoke, multi-centre holiday itineraries by taking content from multiple sources and using ‘intelligent packaging capabilities’.

Derek Jones, CEO DER Touristik UK, said: “It’s a significant transformation and our staff are overwhelmingly positive about the change.

“TravelBox will help change how we work, creating an easier booking process and generally enable us to work more efficiently.

“Such a big change touches all parts of the business so we are moving gradually giving us time to test it, train the teams and make sure the transition is as seamless as possible.

“We have already started training and the feedback has been very positive, with many of them excited about the functionality.”
