KLM & BCA Host Groups Specialists for ‘TigreWeb’ Training

Groups of agents from across Northern Ireland were hosted by KLM and Belfast City Airport at a unique specialist training event at the airport

Frank McCaffrey, KLM Account Manager for Northern Ireland opened proceedings with an update on the KLM network and product news for the daily KLM Belfast Amsterdam service, now in its 4th year of operation.

This was followed by KLM Senior Group Agent, Ms Angela Mimiaga, who travelled from Amsterdam to give training on the Air France KLM online Groups booking portal ‘TigreWeb’, which is available to all Travel Agents via the Trade only website agentconnect.biz.

TigreWeb gives agents the chance to quote and manage groups in real time, speeding up productivity and service to clients as well as cutting down on costs.

The participants were then taken on a tour of the Airport to see first-hand the £15 million newly renovated passenger area.

As a special treat the agents were also given a fascinating tour of the Airport’s Fire Services to see how they monitor and maintain the airport’s exemplary safety record.

Afterwards, the agents then went on to meet the crew and get a close up view of the KLM Embraer 175 jet that operates daily between Belfast City and the Amsterdam Schiphol, KLM’s global hub, with connections to over 133 destinations in 66 countries.
