Kenya’s tourism marketing agency, Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has unveiled an e-learning platform, called Magical Kenya Travel Specialist, designed to deliver and maintain effective online training targeted at the travel agents around the world.
The platform delivers a complete suite of engaging tools which use the latest principles of e-learning, to enable users to easily gain and retain destination knowledge in a more effective way.
Magical Kenya is an iconic travel destination in East Africa. Due to its strategic location astride the equator, it offers a rich mix of diverse and memorable travel experiences all year round. The eLearning platform will equip the travel agents with the relevant knowledge on Kenya’s unique and diverse offering for the discerning traveller. Upon completion of the Magical Kenya Travel Specialist Program, agents will qualify as Certified Kenya Travel Specialists and can offer their newfound expertise to their clients and sell the destination with confidence.
KTB Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Betty Radier, said that the platform is one of the key projects that the organisation has undertaken to support travel agents in their quest for new destinations, and new products/experiences to add to their portfolio even as the world gradually opens up for travel once again. “This is an excellent way of equipping the travel trade with knowledge on the destination’s experiences and products to enable them to sell Kenya effectively to their clients”, said the CEO.
The entire e-learning platform was developed, and is maintained, in-house by the Mogul. Mogul, designed and owned by full service travel marketing company Black Diamond, is the travel industry’s most sophisticated learning and engagement platform.
To introduce agents to this exciting new platform, KTB and Mogul will be hosting a ‘How-to’ Webinar on Thursday 25th March at 11.30am GMT (2.30pm EAT / 8.30am EDT). The objective of the webinar is to demonstrate the functionality of the platform and give tips on how to make the most of the platform’s features.
