Over 100 independent travel agents hosted in Leeds as Jet2holidays’ annual VIP conference ‘comes home’ by popular demand

Jet2holidays will today (November 25) reveal exciting plans to boost its award-winning partnership approach to working with independent travel agents at the company’s annual VIP conference, including a new campaign enabling agents to unleash their unique and trusted position to turn queries into sales.

The UK’s leading tour operator to destinations in the Mediterranean and Canary Islands is hosting over 100 independent travel agents at a special one-day ‘It’s Coming Home’ conference in the company’s home city of Leeds.

After winning numerous accolades and awards for how it has looked after independent travel agents and customers throughout the pandemic, Jet2holidays will unveil its latest plans to work with and support independent travel agents ahead of peaks.

The latest example of the company’s innovative partnership to success approach is called ‘Travel Made Simple with Jet2holidays’. The bespoke campaign has been developed to tap into the huge customer demand for knowledge and expertise when booking a holiday and the fact that independent travel agents are uniquely positioned to provide that.

Through a dedicated staff training programme as well as bespoke marketing materials that can be used online, in email, on social media and in stores, independent travel agents will be given the skills and expertise to hold customers’ hands whether researching, booking or travelling on a Jet2holiday so that they can confidently navigate any barriers to travelling such as restrictions or testing.

By taking part in the campaign, independent travel agents will be able to entice customers into their stores by using ‘Travel Made Simple with Jet2holidays’ marketing materials. In addition, customers will be further assured by the sight of trained agency staff wearing ‘Ask Me Anything’ badges which have been designed to give customers total confidence when they walk into store.

Speakers at today’s conference will include Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2holidays, Alan Cross, Head of Trade at Jet2holidays as well as other members of the Senior Management Team. They will provide business updates and talk about Jet2holidays’ future vision, as well as sharing more about working in partnership to promote and sell package holidays including through the use of data and marketing.

Independent travel agents will also hear about Jet2holidays’ brand-new approach to brochures, including a series of new-look brochures that will be launched to agents in December.
