Jet2holidays has today announced that Alan Cross has been promoted to the newly created position of Director of Travel Agent Relationships.
He has been promoted to the new position, having held the post of Head of Trade Sales for the past ten years.
The creation of the new Director of Travel Agent Relationships post reflects Jet2holidays’ continued commitment to working alongside independent travel agents and homeworkers to create mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships. Having this senior position within Jet2holidays – reporting directly to CEO Steve Heapy – demonstrates how integral these partnerships are to the company’s business strategy and continued success.
It is also the latest example of Jet2holidays investing in its award-winning Partnership to Success strategy, so that it can continue to support independent travel agents and homeworkers in increasing sales and growing their businesses.
In a recent demonstration of this commitment, the UK’s largest tour operator announced that it is recruiting to fill four positions in its dedicated trade team, which will expand the size of the team to 20.
Alan Cross has worked at Jet2holidays for over 14 years, having originally joined the company to launch its trade sales channel. He has worked in the travel industry for almost 45 years in a number of roles including retail, airline reservations, cruise, advertising, publishing and corporate software.
