Intrepid Launches Fundraising Drive for National Travel Agent Day 2021

Intrepid has launched a fundraising campaign ahead of National Travel Agent Day UK and Ireland on July 23 and is inviting the industry to get behind it.

All money raised will go to ABTA Lifeline and the ITAA Benevolent Fund to help agents struggling most amid the pandemic.

People can choose either to simply donate, or sign up for a ‘24 hour challenge’ of their choice. It could be anything from a bake sale, an auction, organised litter picking to a 24 hour pub quiz.

Intrepid will be attempting a 24-hour non-stop cycle around the globe and hosting a Big Travel Quiz on its Facebook group Intrepid Loves Agents.

Intrepid’s head of business development Joanna Reeve invited people from across the industry to get involved and celebrate the role of agents.

She said: “Agents have had an another incredibly tough year, so this National Travel Agent Day is more important than ever. While Intrepid originally created this day, it is by no means our day and we are urging all suppliers and travel companies across the UK and Ireland to get involved, whether it’s through the fundraiser, holding their own events or just sharing the love using the #NationalTravelAgentDay hashtag.”

A series of events is planned throughout the day on the Intrepid Loves Agents Facebook group, with competitions, discounts and incentives.
