Important announcement for flights to/from Dublin by Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines have released the following statement…

“Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19 the flights to/from the Dublin have been cancelled with immediate effect for the time being.

The PNRs of passengers on cancelled flights have been reflected on your agency Qs during the cancellation process. We would like to ask you to check your system and process any changes for tickets issued on the cancelled flights along with informing passengers.

Please contact your passengers to advise not to travel to the airport.

Please apply standard involuntary change procedures for the cancelled flights.

In addition, the following rules will apply for tickets to/from the United Kingdom (BHX, EDI, LGW, LHR, MAN):

Additional Change Procedures:
Individual and group passengers who have bookings on flights to/from Ireland between 17 March 2020-15 May 2020 and whose tickets were issued on/before 17 March 2020, will be handled with following conditions disregarding the related fare rules as long as the procedures are completed by 15 April 2020 (inclusive).

1. Rerouting and rebooking:
Rebooking and rerouting without additional charge will apply as long as the new destination requested is in the same IATA region, in the same cabin class and tickets are revalidated/reissued on or before 15 April 2020 (inclusive).
A) For new travel dates until 31 May 2020 on Turkish Airlines and Anadolujet flights: Higher RBD is permitted in the same cabin in case the original class is not available. If the passengers’ travel plans are affected by these changes, the other flights on the same ticket can be changed to a higher RBD free of charge provided that there is availability in the same cabin class.
B) For new travel dates after 31 May 2020 on Turkish Airlines and Anadolujet flights: Rerouting and rebooking for TK/AJ operating flights later than 31 May 2020 can be extended up to one year from the original ticketing date without any charges provided that the same RBD is available. If the same RBD is not available then fare difference will be applied without any change penalty.
C) On interline flights where TK is the marketing carrier fare rules will apply.

2. Extension of validity:
The validity of ticket can be extended up to 31 May 2020 without applying fare differences or penalties.

3. Refund Requests:
Refund requests will be handled with the following conditions, disregarding the related fare rules, provided that tickets are revalidated until 15 April 2020 (inclusive).
A) Unused tickets:
Refund will be made without any charge disregarding the fare rules. Interline flights where TK is the marketing carrier are included.
B) Used Tickets:
Refund will be made considered as involuntary. Interline flights where TK is the marketing carrier are included.

4. Group Bookings:
Rebooking/rerouting of group reservations for which payment or guaranteed MCO has been received can be exempted of applying penalties as per the existing group terms and conditions or guaranteed MCO rules.
All changes can be made by Turkish Airlines sales offices, agencies and call centres from where the tickets were purchased.
The changes mentioned above are limited to one time only. Other additional changes will be handled with existing penalties and fare differences within the fare rules.
