Hurtigruten Appoint New Digital Solutions VP

Hurtigruten Group have announced the appointment of Gerard Short as its new VP of Digital Solutions

Adventure travel company Hurtigruten Group have announced the appointment of Gerard Short as its new VP of Digital Solutions for its world leading expedition cruising operations.

In this newly established position, Gerard will be part of a growing team that will build the next generation of digital products for Hurtigruten Expeditions, which offers more than 250 destinations to over 30 countries including Antarctica, the Galapagos Islands and West Africa.

Highly experienced in vision, strategy and execution, Gerard brings with him over 15 years of experience working in product development and has successfully launched multiple products from inception to market for some of the world’s biggest global brands.

In his role prior to joining Hurtigruten, Gerard worked for KultraLab and NHS Digital where he was leading the Covid-19 testing efforts in the UK.

Gerard is one of several senior digital experts recently recruited at Hurtigruten Group’s HQ2 office in London as the Norwegian company aims to expand its presence internationally.
