The line plans to bring in a new office-based trade partnership manager and a new on-the-road business development executive with responsibility for agents in central and southern England.
The new positions will sit alongside Hurtigruten’s existing key account manager role. They will report to UK head of sales Mark Walter, who was promoted from the role of national key account manager at Hurtigruten in February.
Explorer manager Daniel Giles and national events and sales manager Maria Ersmarker will leave the business as a result of the shake-up.

“We want to thank both Danny and Maria for their loyalty and commitment to the company over many years,” said the line in a statement, adding: “Hurtigruten remains fully committed to our UK travel partners and a recruitment process is under way to find suitable candidates to fill these new key positions.”

The line added that while the UK remains a “vitally important country of opportunity”, it must have a “robust and solid structure” to support efforts to grow its business “in line with global targets”.
