Glen Thomas Appointed Head of Group Sales & Partnerships at Wendy Wu

Travel specialists, Wendy Wu Tours, have appointed Glen Thomas to the newly created role of Head of Group Sales & Partnerships

As a key hire for Wendy Wu, Thomas will drive the company’s accelerated growth in the groups sector, reporting to global sales director John Warr.

Thomas brings with him over 20 years of leadership experience, knowledge and a successful track-record in sales having held senior roles within Co-op Travel and more recently Travelsphere where Thomas headed up the operator’s group sales division for 10 years. During this time Thomas was awarded ‘The Excellence Award’, an award bearing testament to Thomas’s achievements and contribution to group travel organisers.

With full responsibility for the leadership and development of Wendy Wu’s group sales and partnerships business, Thomas will play a key role in meeting the company’s ambitious growth goals as well as building on the firm’s outstanding reputation for service and delivery. In addition, Thomas will spearhead Wendy Wu’s promotional and educational programme to groups for the operator’s latest venture, the launch of their new state-of-the-art, deluxe river cruise ship, Victoria Mekong! Billed as one of the most exciting and eagerly awaited cruise ship launches of 2019, Victoria Mekong takes river cruising to a new level adopting a stylish and contemporary design with an Asian twist.
