Five Lucky Agents Win European Adventures!

G Adventures Active campaign sees five lucky agents jetting off on adventures in Europe

With milestone and achievement-based holidays proving popular among travellers looking to make the most of their next holiday, G Adventures’ month-long ‘Active campaign’ has been helping agents to brush up on their knowledge of the best active adventures in order to help capture this new demand.

Running throughout March, the campaign included a 15% discount across G Adventures’ Active tours, radio programmes on Travel.Radio’s The Adventure Hour with Brian Young dedicated to active experiences, and weekly webinars, which celebrated lesser-known active experiences across Europe, including hiking in Madeira and Ibiza, as well as iconic treks further afield such as the Inca Trail, Kilimanjaro and Everest Basecamp. With hundreds of agents tuning in over the month to learn more about active travel, G Adventures also rewarded agents who took advantage of the training with five amazing trip giveaways.

Stu Darnley, National Sales Manager for G Adventures said the campaign attracted a number of agents who were new to adventure travel, as they recognised the opportunity among travellers seeking this style of holiday.

“Whether it’s lockdowns making people want to get out and be active or a new found love of walking, it’s clear to see that travellers are shifting their holidays in favour of more active experiences. With 28% of British travellers saying they plan to take an active break as part of their next international holiday, there’s a real opportunity for agents to get a slice of this pie.

“We’ve had fun training our agents on some of our most popular, and also lesser-known active adventures and it’s been great to see some new faces joining, as agents look to diversify the types of holidays they offer their customers. A big congratulations goes to Donna, Nigel, Laura, Harry and Tom for winning a spot on one of our upcoming European adventures- we’re excited to see our agents back out on the road again soon,” Darnley continued.

The five lucky agents who won trips across Europe were Donna Grasby from Hays Travel, Nigel Murgatroyd from Gold Medal, Laura Wilkinson from The Holiday Village, Harry Queensferry Dulger from Queensferry Travel and Tom King from Audley Travel.
