Exsus Travel are expanding its team of travel experts as it welcomes new member Christine Cummings, a senior worldwide travel expert.
Christine has decades of experience in travel: she has worked in the travel industry for over 35 years in various roles, from travel agencies to hotel groups and DMCs, and has spent the last 20 years with luxury tour operators.
Christine says: ‘I am so pleased to be joining Exsus Travel. Due to the pandemic, I was forced to switch careers, as so many had to do, and I really missed the travel profession – so I am thrilled to be back, and I cannot wait to share my experiences with you all!’ She believes travel is the best form of education, giving clients the opportunity to learn about different cultures, history, nature and themselves. She adds: ‘I believe Exsus is the right fit for me. I adore being able to offer a truly bespoke service which matches the clients’ requirements’.
Christine has travelled all over the world, but has a particular love of the Caribbean and the Far East. ‘I love the Caribbean for its laid-back atmosphere, excellent food and some of the best hotels in the world. It also holds some special memories – my son learned to swim aged 6 on the west coast of Barbados (he is now 31!)’. As for the Far East, it is a winner for its endless diversity and its heady combination of adventure, city and beach. ‘My standout experiences include meeting elephants in Thailand, and visiting a group of elderly women in Mai Chau in northern Vietnam, who were chewing on betelnuts while sharing a meal, and communicating with our eyes and hand gestures as we did not understand each other’s languages. Priceless!’.
