Luxury tailor-made tour operator Exsus Travel has welcomed a new member to their team, Senior Worldwide Travel Expert David Sutcliffe.
David has 20 years of experience in luxury travel, and has travelled across the globe, including living and working abroad – and his love of discovering the world shows no sign of abating. He says: “It may be a cliché, but travel has been a genuine passion of mine since a young age, and really took a hold when I went to live in California in my early twenties, leading the then less than glamorous life of a professional skateboarder. It gave me a sense of wanderlust that has never left me; there is nothing that quite compares to visiting a new place, seeing new sights, experiencing different cultures and making new friends.
“I decided that I wanted to work in an industry that gave me the opportunity to travel further than my wallet would otherwise allow. My background is luxury, long-haul travel, and I have visited all corners of the planet, from Argentina to Zimbabwe. My favourite destinations, the ones to which I keep returning, are Africa and the USA. So far I’ve been fortunate enough to visit South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia in Africa, and California, Las Vegas, Hawaii, New York, Washington DC and Florida in the States.”
