Expedition Cruise Network Announces Q3&4 Webinar Programme

The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) has announced its webinar programme for the rest of 2024, to give travel industry professionals unprecedented insight into the world of expedition cruising

The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) has announced its webinar programme for the rest of 2024, to give travel industry professionals unprecedented insight into the world of expedition cruising.
With 23 global expedition cruise companies as members, comprising both household names and niche operators, the ECN offers unparalleled coverage of global expedition cruise destinations and styles of expedition cruising.
The highlights of the next series of webinars include a dedicated discussion on micro expeditions (travelling onboard ships with fewer than 50 passengers), a deep dive into Alaska as an expedition cruise destination, where guests often encounter dramatic landscapes, glaciers and bears and expedition operators for niche destinations such as the Chilean Fjords.
Warm water expedition cruises will also be examined with Pacific island states within Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia, West Africa and Australia.
The webinar series, which will be held monthly throughout the rest of 2024, is open to all, from travel designers aiming to increase their knowledge of the sector, to industry colleagues interested in hearing from experts.
Akvile Marozaite, CEO of the Expedition Cruise Network says: “What makes our webinar programme unique is that for each webinar we invite a group of experts from participating expedition cruise companies who provide a hands-on discussion about the destination or topic being discussed.

The experts joining us are often the people who either design the itineraries or lead the voyages. All have a very extensive experience of the destinations, having worked and oftnn lived there. This makes these webinars truly informative and authentic opportunities to learn about various expedition cruise destinations and understand both how to sell the destination and the unique selling points of the participating expedition cruise companies.”
Webinar Timetable:

July: Selling South Pacific expeditions: Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia
August: Selling Alaska as an expedition cruise destination
September: Introducing Micro Expeditions: travelling onboard expedition ships with fewer than 50 passengers
October: Selling Epic expeditions: warm weather
November: Choosing a local expedition cruise operator for a niche destination: Chilean Fjords, Kimberley, Polynesia, and New Zealand
